Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) applies to all customers of Tech Baker LLC (doing business as TechBomby) managed technology services. It is incorporated by reference into the Master Service Agreement.

Plain-language summary: Don't use our service to break the law. Don't try to hide your activity from monitoring you're paying us to perform. Don't squeeze 20 devices onto a 5-device plan. We can pause or end service if you do.

Prohibited use

You agree NOT to use the service:

For any illegal activity, including but not limited to fraud, theft, harassment, harboring stolen goods, child sexual abuse material, money laundering, or distribution of malware.
To infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of third parties.
To send spam, phishing, or other unsolicited bulk communications.
To probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network you do not own or have explicit permission to test.
To distribute, host, or facilitate access to malicious code, exploit kits, or command-and-control infrastructure.
To circumvent any access control, license restriction, or rate limit.

Monitoring software integrity

Customers must not:

Tamper with, uninstall, disable, or attempt to circumvent the monitoring software installed under your service plan, except by canceling the service or requesting removal through normal channels.
Block or filter the monitoring agent's network communication.
Modify the agent binaries, configuration, or credentials.
Use monitoring data we provide to make claims about third parties without their consent.

Tampering with monitoring does not break our service silently — it usually triggers alerts on our side. If you want a device removed from monitoring, ask us. Removal is free.

Plan limits

Each plan covers a specific number of devices: 5 (Essentials), 10 (Plus), 20 (Family). Small business plans are priced per endpoint.

You agree not to use the service to support devices beyond your plan's device-count limit.
You agree not to use a household plan to provide IT support to unrelated households or businesses.
If your situation changes (more devices, a second property, a household business), tell us and we'll adjust the plan. Going over the limit without notice is grounds for upgrade or termination.

Access on behalf of others

For the Caregiver add-on, you represent that the relative whose household you are adding has consented to monitoring. We may ask for documentation of consent in writing (a forwarded email is sufficient) before activating monitoring on a third party's devices. We do not knowingly monitor anyone's devices without their consent.

Consequences of violations

Tech Baker LLC may, in its sole discretion:

Issue a warning and request immediate remediation;
Suspend service while we investigate;
Terminate service immediately without refund for serious or repeated violations;
Cooperate with law enforcement for activity we believe is criminal;
Refuse to provide service to households or businesses engaged in illegal activity, regardless of prior service history.

For minor or accidental violations (like going one device over a plan limit), we'll reach out first and give you a chance to upgrade or remove the excess.

Reporting violations

To report abuse of our service or content hosted on TechBomby-managed infrastructure, email abuse@techbomby.com (interim: bbomby1@gmail.com). Include enough detail for us to investigate (URL, date/time, what happened). We acknowledge abuse reports within one business day.

Modifications

We may update this AUP from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent change. Significant changes that affect existing customers will be announced via email before they take effect.
