Who we are

Tech Baker LLC is a Florida limited liability company doing business as TechBomby, based in Winter Haven, Florida. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose information when you visit techbomby.com, contact us, or use our managed technology services.

If you have questions, contact privacy@techbomby.com (interim: bbomby1@gmail.com).

Plain-language summary: We collect what we need to provide service and nothing else. We don't sell your data. We don't read your files, watch your screen, or capture what you type. You can request a copy or deletion at any time.

What we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact information you submit through forms (name, email, phone number, brief description of your situation).
  • Meeting and scheduling data when you book a consultation through Cal.com (name, email, phone, answers to the booking questions you complete).
  • Billing information collected by Stripe if you become a paying customer. We never see card numbers; Stripe handles them.

Information collected from your devices (paying customers only)

Once you sign up for a managed service plan and install our monitoring agent, we collect device-health telemetry to provide the service:

  • Device identifier, model, and operating system version
  • Installed application names and versions (not file contents)
  • CPU, memory, and disk space usage trends
  • Antivirus and firewall status
  • Network connection summary (which networks the device is on, security-relevant DNS queries)
  • Patch / update compliance state

What we do NOT collect

  • File contents on your devices
  • Screen captures or screenshots
  • Keystrokes or anything you type
  • Email content, message bodies, or attachments
  • Personal browsing history beyond security-relevant DNS queries
  • Audio or video from device cameras or microphones

How we use information

  • To provide the managed technology service you're paying for
  • To alert you to issues that need attention on your devices
  • To generate monthly health reports
  • To improve our service
  • To communicate about scheduled meetings, billing, and service updates
  • To respond to inquiries you initiate

We do not use your information for advertising or sell it to third parties. We do not use AI training on your data.

Who we share with

We share information only with the third-party services necessary to provide our service:

  • Cal.com — for scheduling consultations. Your name, email, phone, and answers to booking questions reach Cal.com when you book a meeting.
  • Stripe — for billing, if you become a paying customer. Stripe receives the information needed to process payments.
  • Mailgun — for transactional email delivery (confirmations, reports). Mailgun processes email metadata; the body of the email contains only what we send.
  • Cloudflare — for DNS, CDN, and tunnel infrastructure. Cloudflare processes request metadata as part of serving the site.

We do not share information with anyone else except when required by law (subpoena, court order) or to protect Tech Baker LLC's legal rights. If a government agency requests data, we'll notify the affected customer where lawful.

Your rights

  • Request a copy of the information we hold about you. Email privacy@techbomby.com; we respond within 30 days.
  • Request deletion of your information. Some records may be retained for legal or accounting requirements (e.g., billing history); we'll explain what we can and can't delete.
  • Cancel your service at any time. After cancellation, we help you remove our monitoring software cleanly from your devices.
  • Update your information at any time by contacting us.

How we protect information

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest
  • Strict role-based access controls within our internal portal
  • Credentials stored in a self-hosted Vaultwarden vault with hardware-backed MFA
  • Monitoring and alerting on the portal itself; security incidents trigger notifications to affected customers

Cookies and analytics

We use Plausible for analytics, which does not use cookies and does not collect personal information. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other ad-tech tracking. The Cal.com embed on our site may set its own cookies; those are governed by Cal.com's privacy policy.

Children's privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact privacy@techbomby.com and we'll delete it.

California, Florida, and other state-specific rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws (e.g., California CCPA/CPRA). To exercise those rights, email privacy@techbomby.com. We don't sell personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent change. Significant changes that affect existing customers will be announced via email before they take effect.
